Volunteers searching for missing Arklow teenager James Sheehan have concentrated their search efforts on a wooded area west of the Co Wicklow town.
Around 150 family members, friends and locals led by gardaí searched at Glenart around 5km west of Arklow.
It is understood that Mr Sheehan, who has been missing since early on Sunday morning, used to visit the area to go quad biking.
Members of a garda sub aqua unit carried out under water searches along the Avoca River through the town.
Mr Sheehan is described as being 6'2" in height, of athletic build and has short red hair.
He spent Saturday night socialising in a nightclub in Arklow. He then got a lift to the nearby Willow Grove housing estate.
Mr Sheehan was seen again walking back into town at around 3am.
He sent a text to his friend two hours later, but there has been no contact since then.
