The Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a viable improvised explosive device in Kilbarrack, Dublin.
The Defence Forces were called to Coláiste Dhúlaigh following a request from gardaí.
The team arrived on scene at 11.40am and examined the device.
The area was cordoned off by gardaí and local residents were moved to a safe location.
The device was made safe at the site and transported to a secure military location for further examination where it was declared a viable IED.
The scene was declared safe at 12.30pm.
This was the 128th callout and 62th viable IED made safe by the army this year.
