Cork couple injured in UK crash now 'stable'

The Irish couple seriously injured in a car crash in England have had their condition upgraded to ‘stable’.

Derriford Hospital in Plymouth has confirmed that Con and Elber Twomey are in a stable condition.

The couple were in a critical condition following a car crash at Torquay in Devon on 6 July.

Their son Oisin died at the scene, and the couple's unborn daughter died in hospital. The baby girl was christened Elber Marie, after her mother.
