The Irish Farmers’ Association has said a decrease in the overall yield of the country's main crops will cost growers an estimated €60m.
It said the drop in yields of barley, wheat and oats will probably be down to 2.1 million tonnes from 2.4 million.
Some potato growers estimate that their yields are down by 25%.
Farmers are saying it has been one of the most difficult years ever for many growers.
They say there are huge problems in getting out to spray crops, and there is a significant level of disease hitting yields.
Many farmers cannot get machinery into fields to gather potatoes because the ground is too soft, and potatoes which are picked have too much muck on them.
However, growers say a few dry days would help them greatly.
