The Dáil will rise later today for the eight-week summer recess, returning on 18 September.
This morning there was a full walk-out by all Opposition TDs in protest at the Government insisting on finishing the Gaeltacht Bill before the recess.
The Government won a vote to finish the Bill by 2.30pm by 86 votes to 44.
In protest at the insistence on concluding the legislation without accepting any amendments, all Opposition TDs walked out of the Dáil chamber.
The Dáil then passed all stages of the Bill, which goes before the Seanad for final approval.
