The National Competitiveness Council suggests that the Irish economy has stabilised, but warned against complacency.
The NCC's annual benchmarking report indicates that the economy has made gains in international competitiveness recently.
Despite the recent gains, NCC Chairman Dr Don Thornhill has recommended a relentless and thorough focus on reform.
He recommends a focus on structural changes outlined under the terms of the rescue programme agreed with the EU, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund.
