A partial recount of votes has been ordered in Mexico's presidential election, following the discovery of inconsistencies in vote tallies.
Mexican authorities have said that more than half of the ballot boxes will be recounted.
They said it was an exercise in openess and transparency.
Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador of the leftist PRD coalition had demanded a total recount after initial results put him in second place.
He accused leading candidate Enrique Pena Nieto of the Institutional Revolutionary Party of breaking electoral rules.
