A truck bomb in the central Iraqi city of Diwaniya has killed at least 40 people and wounded around 70.
Police have since announced a partial curfew and closed all entrances to the city.
The bombing took place near a Shia mosque where pilgrims gather on their way to Kerbala to celebrate the birthday of an important imam - al-Mahdi - this week.
Earlier this morning, two roadside bombs targeting Shia pilgrims killed four people and wounded 21 near Kerbala.
A witnesses said around 15 shops were destroyed in the Diwaniya blasts.
