Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire at a waste collection plant in Dublin.

A number of waste collection vehicles were damaged in the blaze, which broke out at around 11.30pm last night at the Panda waste collection depot in Ballymount.

A number of units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene and brought the fire under control shortly before 1am.

The incident comes ten days after a fire at the company's recycling plant at Beauparc in Co Meath.
