Around 12,500 people took part in a procession for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin.
The main body of pilgrims, many from overseas, set off from inside the RDS along the 2.5km route skirting its perimeter.
At Simmonscourt, around 4,000 people joined the colourful stream amid a soundtrack of hymns and prayers.
They followed the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist, borne in a gold monstrance under a special canopy, back to the showground's main arena.
The theme for today's Congress was "Exploring and Celebrating Ministry - Ordained and Lay".
Archbishop of Vancouver J Michael Miller gave the Catechesis entitled "Priesthood and Ministry in the Service of Communion".
Noreen Carroll from Foxrock parish in Dublin gave a personal testimony on ministry and Sr Conchita McDonnell of the Congregation of Religious in Ireland gave a personal testimony on religious life.
Mass was celebrated by Cardinal Oscar Andrés Rodríquez-Maradiaga, the Archbishop of Tegucigalpa in Honduras.
