The opening liturgy of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress will take place on Sunday 10 June in the Arena at the RDS on the feast of Corpus Christi.

The opening ceremony and mass will air be televised worldwide and on RTÉ Two, from 1.45pm with hosts Bryan Dobson and Roisin Ní Thomain and commentary from Mary Kennedy and Fr Dermod McCarthy.

It will be simulcast on RTÉ Radio 1 LW252/1Xtra/DAB from 2pm to 4.45pm, with commentary by Eileen Dunne. RTÉ News Now will also be streaming the coverage live.

There will also be daily coverage of events in RDS Arena from 1.45pm-6pm (LW252 /1Xtra/DAB), except Thursday 14 June, when it will begin at 3pm.

Theme of the day is "We are all Baptised into One Body".

Professor William Reville (UCC) will give a talk entitled 'Celebrating the Miracle of Life' at 7pm in Hall 3 at the RDS.

Wednesday 13 June

Theme of the day is "Priesthood and Ministry in the Service of Communion".

Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Honduras Oscar Andrés Cardinal Rodríguez-Maradiaga will celebrate the Eucharist at 4pm. This will be followed by a procession beginning at 7.30pm.

Theme of the day is "Reconciliation in our Communion".

Sr Brigid Reynolds SM & Fr Séan Healy of Social Justice Ireland will give a workshop - Social Justice and Inclusion in a Divided World -  at 12pm in Hall 9.

Friday 15 June

Theme of the day is "Communion in Suffering and in Healing".

Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Patriarch Fouad Twal, will celebrate the Eucharist with the Sacrament of Anointing in the Arena at 4pm.

Saturday 16 June

Theme of the day is "Communion in The Word through Mary".

There will be a community meeting in English and Italian given by Dr Maria Voce & Fr Giancarlo Faletti, President and Co-President of the Focolare Movement on "Living a Spirituality of Communion Today".

Sunday 17 June

Statio Orbis is the Liturgy on the final day of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in Croke Park, Dublin.

The Mass will be celebrated by the Papal Legate and will include a video message from Pope Benedict XVI.

RTÉ One, Radio 1 LW/1xtra and RTÉ News Now will simulcast the closing event and the “Statio Orbis” event with commentary from Mary Kennedy. Eileen Dunne and Joe Duffy will be the joint MCs.
