Over 200 new jobs for Dublin, Limerick and Carlow

Over 200 new jobs are to be created at four separate companies in Dublin, Limerick and Carlow.

Online retailer Amazon has announced plans to hire 100 new staff in Dublin.

The engineering positions will be based at the company's development centre in Kilmainham.

Elsewhere, 40 new jobs are being created at the start-up company Buyersclub.ie, which helps small Irish producers to sell their products online at competitive prices.

Based in Blanchardstown in Dublin, the jobs will come on stream over the next 12 to 18 months.

In Limerick, Action Point Technology Group, a software development company, is creating 50 new jobs over the next 18 months.

Meanwhile, Carlow-based pharmaceutical company MSD has announced the creation of 20 new jobs, as part of a €7 million investment plan.
