President Michael D Higgins has begun a consultation seeking the views of young Irish people on their vision for Ireland.
Launching the ''Being Young and Irish'' seminar this morning at Áras an Uachtaráin, Mr Higgins invited people to submit their ideas online or through the post.
The initiative is targeted at young people aged 17- 26.
The closing date for submissions is 29 September.
