Former Vita Cortex workers in Cork are hoping to finally leave the factory building this week.
Settlement payments have begun to be transferred to their bank accounts.
It is now 158 days since the 23 workers decided to begin a sit-in protest at the factory.
Earlier this month, a deal was agreed between both sides to finally resolve the protest.
SIPTU confirmed the legal paperwork that will allow company owner Jack Ronan access to money to pay the workers was signed off on by lawyers for the National Asset Management Agency and Mr Ronan last Friday.
It is understood at least half of the 23 transfers were processed by the close of business today and the remainder will be completed tomorrow morning.
The workers have vowed to stay on the premises until it can be confirmed that each of them has received the payments.
