Over 300 international investors are attending a Start-Up Bootcamp in Dublin with a view to investing in ten new businesses.

The ten companies, including four Irish, are finalists in an international competition to support entrepreneurs.

Start-up Bootcamp is an international network giving budding entrepreneurs a fast-track for their businesses.

10 finalists were picked from 150 international entries.

They were given €12,000 in seed funding, some mentoring, and a workspace in a Dublin warehouse, where they have been shaping their businesses for the last three months.

They spent today pitching their companies to a room full of cash-rich global investors.

Four of the 10 finalists are Irish companies and the judges said they were impressed by the entrepreneurial spirit in Ireland.

Lots more entrepreneurs are to also get to take part in this programme as it has just been announced that funding has been secured to keep the Start-up Bootcamp in Dublin on a permanent basis.
