Visiting restrictions are in place at Waterford Regional Hospital as a result of suspected cases of the Norovirus vomiting bug.
Visitors will only be allowed into the wards in exceptional circumstances.
A hospital spokesperson said cancer, emergency and outpatient services would continue as normal and the situation was being kept under review.
