Ireland West Aiport Knock has confirmed that the bmibaby service to Birmingham will end next month.

The move follows the sale of bmi to International Airlines Group.

The bmibaby Knock to Birmingham route will end on 10 June. Passengers are advised that all bookings up to that date are valid and the flight schedule will continue as normal until them.

Customers affected by the route’s cancellation will be offered a full refund, which will be arranged automatically.

Ireland West Airport is in talks with a number of other airlines to take up the route.

The budget airline is also ending its operations from Belfast City Airport on 11 June.

Passengers affected will be offered an alternative date of travel or a full refund.
