Gardaí have seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €80,000 following a raid on a house in Longford.
Members of the Longford/Roscommon Divisional Drug Unit were involved in the search of the property in Ballinamuck, Longford, yesterday evening.
During the search of the house gardaí discovered 200 cannabis plants.
A man in his 20s was arrested and detained at Longford Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He was released earlier this afternoon without charge and investigations are ongoing. The house was sealed off for a technical examination.
