Beaumont asks public to limit visits due to winter vomiting virus

Beaumont Hospital in Dublin has appealed to the public not to make non-essential visits to the hospital over the bank holiday weekend.

It comes as the number of people affected by the latest outbreak of the winter vomiting virus at the hospital has reached 300.

The hospital says that while the peak of the outbreak appears to have passed, visitor restrictions must remain in place for the moment.
