A former nursing student has been charged with murder and attempted murder over a shooting at a California college that had expelled him.
Seven people were killed and three others wounded earlier this week at a small, Christian college in Oakland.
The suspect in the shootings at Oikos University, One Goh, 43, is scheduled to be arraigned in Alameda County Superior Court.
District Attorney Nancy O'Malley said Mr Goh had been charged with seven counts of murder with "special circumstances," and three counts of attempted murder.
"The enormity and devastation of these crimes is unprecedented in Alameda County," she said.
Mr Goh is accused of opening fire on former classmates at Oikos on Monday.
Police said he had been expelled from Oakland's Oikos University for "anger management" issues.
Mr Goh surrendered at a grocery store several kilometres away a short time after the shooting.
