Tests for avian flu in pheasants in Ballyroe are negative

Final test results of pheasants in Barryroe, Co Cork, are totally negative for avian flu, according to the Department of Agriculture.

Tests were carried out because the birds came from the same original flock of pheasants of those in Clonakility, which had a low pathogenic form of avian flu.

Restrictions around the gun club at Barryroe where the pheasants had been housed have now been lifted.
