Sogeti, part of IT and outsourcing firm Capgemini, is to create 65 new jobs in its Dublin and Galway offices over the next three years.

The expansion will bring the Irish workforce to over 150 people.

Sogeti has had a presence in Ireland since 1979.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton announced the jobs in Beijing noting that the Government's action plan for jobs actively targets IT and outsourcing as key sectors where Ireland has the potential for major employment growth.

The jobs created will be aimed at high-skilled and graduate workers in the IT sector, with recruitment already in progress.
