Longford Co Council is investigating an apparent explosion at a house in an unfinished development outside Longford.
Gardaí were called to the area last night after windows in No 28 Gleann Riada were blown out. Nobody was injured in the incident.
The council has warned residents of the unfinished housing development to be vigilant against any sewage type odours in the area and to bring them to the attention of the authorities.
The council says the cause of the problem is suspected to be a build up of sewer gases in the area.
