Dutch Prince Johan Friso has been rescued after being buried under an avalanche in western Austria.
The Dutch government said the prince was in a critical but stable condition after spending 15 minutes buried in the snow.
He is being treated in an intensive care unit in an Innsbruck hospital.
The Dutch royal family often spends winter holidays in Lech in the western province of Vorarlberg.
Prince Friso, 43, is the middle son of Queen Beatrix.
His older brother is Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and his younger brother is Prince Constantijn.
The prince is married with two children.
