A woman and her six-year-old son have died in a fire at their home in Navan, Co Meath.
Gardaí have described the deaths as a "terrible tragedy".
It is believed that fumes from a smouldering sofa killed the 28-year-old woman and her son as they slept in their home in the Canterbrook Estate.
There was no-one else in the house at the time.
The house was sealed for a forensic examination.
