A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court this afternoon for the trial of a 26-year-old man accused of killing Shane Geoghegan, the Garyowen Rugby player shot dead in Limerick more than three years ago.
Barry Doyle from Portland Row in Dublin denies murdering the 28-year-old at Clonmore, Kilteragh, Dooradoyle on 28 November 2008.
Mr Justice Garett Sheehan told the nine men and three women that a legal issue had arisen which must be dealt with in their absence.
He told them to return next Monday.
The case which is continuing in legal argument is expected to last five weeks
