132 jobs lost in Dublin and Waterford

Around 100 jobs have been lost following the closure of two hostels and one hotel in Dublin.

The company responsible for Hotel Isaacs Dublin, Isaacs Hostel and Jacobs Inn - The Dublin Tourist Hostel Limited - went into liquidation following a meeting of creditors on Monday.

A number of guests had to be found alternative accommodation when all three properties closed their doors on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, 32 jobs are to go at Honeywell Measurex in Waterford city as the company restructures its business.

The company makes parts for the computer industry. The work currently being done in Waterford is moving to Bulgaria.

Around 30 jobs will remain. Unions and management are due to meet tomorrow.
