A man in his 40s has been arrested at Dublin Airport in connection with the death of a woman in Waterford.
The woman was a resident of a nursing home in Co Waterford and is believed to be originally from the Tramore area.
She was found dead this morning by staff at the Killure Bridge nursing home.
Family members alerted the gardaí and the 46-year-old man was subsequently arrested this afternoon at Dublin Airport.
He has been brought to Waterford Garda Station for questioning.
A post-mortem examination was carried out on the woman's body at Waterford Regional Hospital tonight.
The man was not an employee of the nursing home.
