The Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton has published the South East Employment Action Plan, which was announced in response to the loss of 575 jobs in October in Waterford with the closure of Talk Talk.
€20,000 is to be provided to each of 10 new start up companies, meaning a total of €200,000 is being announced in today's plan.
The funding will be provided through Enterprise Ireland in co-operation with the County Enterprise Boards.
The Action Plan was prepared by Forfás at the request of the Minister and incorporates inputs from all enterprise agencies, state agencies, local authorities, and educational institutions from the region.
