The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has announced that its Compliance Committee is to hold an investigation into the RTÉ Prime Time Investigates programme 'A Mission to Prey'.
The investigation will examine whether the programme segment dealing with Fr Kevin Reynolds breached the Broadcasting Act in terms of fairness, objectivity and impartiality.
Further details of the investigation and its scope, terms of reference and timeline will be published once an investigating officer is appointed.
