A member of the Public Accounts Committee has suggested that the Director General of FÁS, Paul O'Toole, be recalled after correspondence was received from the agency regarding inaccuracies in evidence given to the PAC a number of years ago.
FÁS had been given one week to respond to the Public Accounts Committee on the inaccuracies after they came to light at the committee last week.
Fine Gael’s Kieran O'Donnell said promised correspondence from the state training agency to the PAC was unsatisfactory.
PAC chairman, Fianna Fáil's John McGuinness, said two pieces of information had been received from FÁS last night that amounted to a suggestion that they could be of little further help.
