People are being urged to avail of free mouth examinations today as part of Mouth Cancer Awareness Day.
The initiative aims to raise the profile of the disease to help early diagnosis of symptoms.
Dental hospitals in Cork and Dublin and more than 750 dentist surgeries around the country will be offering the free exams today.
