The search for missing US tourist Kelly Jones today concentrated on the Slieve League, Port and Kilcar areas of southwest Donegal.
Mountain rescue teams, gardaí and local volunteers searched hillsides, outbuildings, lakes and ditches in search of the 41-year-old.
A sighting was reported in the village of Carrick today, however it was a false alarm, as a Polish tourist was mistaken for Ms Jones.
Searchers say hope is starting to fade but the search will carry on this evening and resume again tomorrow.
Ms Jones was last seen in Gleann Colmcille on Saturday.
