Widespread loyalist rioting broke out in Northern Ireland overnight, leaving several police officers injured.
Disturbances in the Doagh Road and Grange Estate areas of Ballyclare, Co Antrim, resulted in six police officers being hurt.
There was also trouble in Carrickfergus and Newtownabbey in Co Antrim and Magherafelt, Co Derry.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested for riotous behaviour in relation to the trouble in Magherfelt.
Locals in Ballyclare say the scale of the violence was shocking.
Seven cars were burnt out and rioters ripped up patios at the front of local homes to use as missiles to throw at police.
Trouble flared after a dispute arose between loyalists and police over the removal of certain flags from the area.
