An elderly man has died in a house fire in Downings, Co Donegal.
The 92-year-old man, who lived alone, has been named locally as Neil 'Biddy Rua' McClafferty.
A passer-by noticed smoke coming from the house at around 1.30am and alerted the emergency services.
Gardaí say they are not treating the death as suspicious.
