Possible restructuring at GSK in Waterford

Workers at the pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline in Waterford have been called to a meeting with management tomorrow to discuss what is understood to be details of restructuring at the plant.

The pharmaceutical company, which is in Dungarvan nearly 30 years, is the town's biggest employer with over 700 workers.

Earlier this year the company announced it was divesting a number of brands including Solpadeine, which is manufactured in the Dungarvan plant.

The meeting between workers and management is due to take place at the plant at 3pm tomorrow.
