Taoiseach Enda Kenny has described as 'bogus' a Fianna Fáil motion of censure in the Justice Minister Alan Shatter.

In the Dáil today, Mr Kenny refused to give over Government time to Fianna Fáil to allow them to move the motion that relates to the Smithwick Tribunal.

The Taoiseach said the opposition party could use their private members' time to debate the issue, but he said all of the matters had been dealt with by the Minister for Justice.

Fianna Fáil's Dara Calleary, backed up by his party leader Micheál Martin, accused Mr Shatter of deliberately withholding crucial information regarding correspondence between his office and the tribunal.
