The Government has announced the names of its nominees for the chairs of the Dáil committees which were established yesterday.
The new committees will meet for the first time next week.
Fine Gael TDs will chair seven committees and the Labour Party will chair four committees.
Fine Gael's Denis Naughten, TD, will chair the Health Committee, Andrew Doyle, TD, Communications, Natural Resources and Agriculture; Damien English, TD, Jobs, Social Protection and Education; David Stanton, TD, : Justice, Defence and Equality; Pat Breen, TD, Foreign Affairs and Trade; Tom Hayes, TD, the Joint Administration Committee; and Joe McHugh, TD, will be the Irish Co-chair of the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly.
Labour's Alex White, TD, will be chair of Finance and Public Expenditure, Joe Costello, TD, will chair EU Affairs, Ciarán Lynch, TD, Environment, Arts and Transport, and Dominic Hannigan, TD, the Committee on the Good Friday Agreement.
