Dundrum Town Centre has announced that 300 new jobs will be created at the centre over the next couple of months.

The new positions will be in retail and food service and will bring the number of people employed at the centre close to 6,000.

Among the new investors are popular US clothing retailer Hollister and the Wagamama restaurant chain.

Minister for Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation Richard Bruton made the announcement at the centre this morning.

Mr Burton said the news was a sign of the confidence that investors have in the Irish economy and reiterated that the Government's priority is creating jobs.

Dundrum Town Centre Director Don Nugent said the new stores will 'strengthen the strong mix of retail and leisure that is available at the centre'.

The centre has had over 100m visitors since it opened in 2005 and now hosts 150 businesses from 14 different countries.
