A post mortem examination on the body of a woman found dead in a house in Rathfarnham has shown nothing suspicious about her death

The body of the 52-year-old woman was found in a house in Loreto Park, Rathfarnham, south Co Dublin this morning.

Gardaí attended the scene following a call from Dublin Fire Brigade at around 9.50am.

No arrests have been made but a 48-year-old man is helping gardaí with their inquiries. It is understood there was no sign of a break in at the house.

The Assistant State pathologist Dr Khalid Jabber carried out a preliminary examination before the body was removed, and a post mortem took place in Tallaght Hospital.

The scene has been preserved.
