Four gardaí are being treated in hospital for injuries they received in a collision involving two patrol cars in Cork city early this morning.
The accident happened on the South Link at the junction of Boreenmanna road at 1.30am.
All four who are in their 20s and 30s were taken to Cork University Hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The office of the Garda Ombudsman has been informed about the crash.
A technical examination was carried out at the scene this morning and the road has been reopened.
