A search continued in north Co Clare today for a 43-year-old local woman who has been missing since Sunday night or Monday morning.
Deirdre McCarthy had been last seen after returning to her home in Ballyvaughan after a night out on Sunday night.
Family members raised the alarm when she failed to turn up for work on Monday morning.
Today up to 50 local people, gardaí and local search and rescue teams have been involved in the search.
Also today, gardaí sought the assistance of the Garda Technical Bureau to assist them in their investigations.
Deirdre is described as being 1.57m (5' 2'') tall, with short, black hair and a medium build.
