LinkedIn, the online social network for professionals and job seekers, has announced plans for 100 new jobs in Dublin over the next 12 months.

The jobs will include graduate and experienced positions in areas such as sales, business development, marketing, customer services, finance, HR and operations.

LinkedIn has attracted 100m members in more than 200 countries since it was launched in 2003.

'LinkedIn has continued to expand since we opened our international headquarters in Dublin in March 2010, working closely with IDA Ireland,' said the company's international human resources director Connie Gibney.

The company had added more than 70 people to its Irish workforce since then.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said LinkedIn was 'an excellent addition' to the digital media industry operating from Ireland.
