Ryanair is examining one of its planes that had to be evacuated in Kerry Airport this morning.
The captain of the flight with 160 passengers on board instigated an emergency evacuation of the plane after smoke was detected in the cockpit.
The incident happened at 9.15am after the plane from London Stansted had landed safely.
The smoke was detected as the plane was taxiing from the runway towards its stand and the airport emergency procedures were activated.
The 160 people on board the plane exited via chutes.
Kerry Airport Spokesman Basil Sheerin said they were successful in taking all passengers from the aircraft.
He said one or two passengers who felt they had hurt themselves while exiting the plane wanted medical assistance.
Both were seen by Kerry Airport and local authority staff and they went on their way with no further medical attention needed.
The aircraft will remain at Kerry Airport pending examinations by the Air Accident Investigations Unit and by Ryanair.
An outbound Ryanair flight to Dublin due to take off at 9.30am has been delayed until lunch time, but otherwise flights to and from the airport are operating to schedule.
