Aer Lingus pilots have suspended the work-to-rule which they commenced at midnight last Friday night in a dispute over rosters for 2011.
It is understood the decision was taken to allow negotiations with the airline to take place.
The work-to-rule has been suspended until next Monday morning.
The President of the Irish Airline Pilots’ Association, Evan Cullen, said that they had sought a copy of the summer 2011 schedule from management so that they could draw up rosters for that period in a ‘more humane’ way than management has done to date.
They stress that they are not trying to undermine productivity or cost base changes recently agreed in a restructuring plan.
