Aer Lingus has confirmed the cancellation of two flights between Dublin and Lisbon tomorrow, because of a national strike in Portugal.
The airline said it would contact passengers facing disruption via text message and email.
Aer Lingus said it has activated a change for free facility on its website, www.aerlingus.com, for those customers whose flights have been cancelled.
Protest action in Portugal has been tame since the economic crisis began in 2008.
But the Portuguese government's 2011 budget plan to cut wages for civil servants by 5% and freeze pensions has provoked anger.
Many economists see Portugal as the next likely peripheral eurozone country to need a bailout, after Greece and Ireland, to resolve concerns over its debt burden.
Portugal's budget deficit and debts are much lower than in Ireland and the eurozone's first bailout beneficiary, Greece.
But economists doubt whether Ireland's rescue this past weekend would stop markets targeting fellow Portugal, or prevent heavily indebted EU states defaulting in the longer run.
