Clonmel - Woman sold drugs to undercover garda

A Clonmel woman has been jailed for three years after admitting seven counts of possessing heroin for sale or supply.

31-year-old Sharon Rossiter, a mother of two, was in Clonmel Circuit Court today in relation to charges from July 2009 and last January.

The court heard an undercover garda bought heroin worth a total of €300 from Rossiter on six occasions.

In January, she was found in possession of a bag of heroin worth over €3,700 during a search of a flat in Clonmel.

Rossiter told the court she had been a heroin addict for the last few years, but has been drug-free since going into Limerick prison in January.
