An unofficial dispute by Bord Na Móna workers at the Lough Ree power plant in Co Longford has come to an end.

It follows the return to work of the 19 remaining members of staff who had been suspended by the company.

40 members of staff at the power station withdrew from work four weeks ago in a dispute over pay levels while the ESB power station was closed down.

However, the Labour Relations Commission told the workers that it would not deal with the claim for loss of income while unofficial action was under way and all 40 staff members have now returned to work.
