The Taoiseach has said that the Minister for Finance will bring the two reports on the banking crisis to Cabinet next week for consideration.
Finance Minister Brian Lenihan received a report from Central Bank Governor Patrick Honohan yesterday and another from two international experts before the weekend.
Brian Cowen told the Dáil that work will then proceed in drafting terms of reference for the banking inquiry.
Those terms will then go to an Oireachtas committee for approval.
Asked by Labour Leader Eamon Gilmore when the reports will be published, the Taoiseach did not give an exact date but said arrangements for publication will be made.
Labour Finance Spokesperson Joan Burton said she expected to get her hands on the reports today.
