Police in Australia are investigating a road traffic accident in which two Irish men were killed.
The two-car crash occurred in the state of Victoria yesterday afternoon near the city of Geelong, southwest of Melbourne.
The victims, who were in their mid-20s, were named as Adrian Freeman, from Tooreen, Co Mayo, and Robbie Twomey from Co Kerry.
They died after the car they were travelling in hit a vehicle which police say had crossed over to the wrong side of the road.
Two other men, also in their mid-20s, received minor injuries in the crash, while the driver of the second car, a local woman in her 60s, is said to be in a critical condition in hospital.
Adrian Freeman was a member of the Tooreen Hurling Club, and had played for the Mayo hurling team in last year's National League and in the Christy Ring Cup.
The 23-year-old also played club football with Aghamore.
He had travelled to Australia last October.
